Amy Grone serves as an Administrative Coordinator at the LTI. She provides administrative support for Yonatan Bisk, Jamie Callan, Scott Fahlman, Teruko Mitamura, Louis-Philippe Morency, Eric Nyberg, Emma Strubell, and Yiming Yang. Amy also supports the ClueWeb project and contributes to department-wide programmatic efforts as needed.
Amy grew up in West Virginia, spent her high school years in Ohio, and has lived in multiple cities across the U.S., including Southern California and Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. She has called Pittsburgh home for nearly 14 years. Amy studied cultural anthropology and psychology, ultimately earning her bachelor's degree in her 30s. Before joining the LTI, she worked with youth and teens for nearly three decades and held leadership roles in CMU’s Pre-College programs and other university initiatives.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and completing scavenger hunts with her stepdaughter and husband.
