Nyssa McCarthy is a Sponsored Research Administrator in the LTI. She specializes in post-award research administration, managing funding portfolios, financial forecasting, labor allocation, award closeouts, and faculty consultations. She supports a wide range of faculty members and also contributes to reporting on discretionary and non-sponsored accounts.
Originally from Frazer Township in the greater Pittsburgh area, Nyssa earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Concordia University Irvine. She returned to the region after several years in California to be closer to her family.
Outside of work, Nyssa enjoys outdoor activities like biking, hiking, swimming, paddleboarding, and camping. She also loves baking, crocheting, playing Stardew Valley, and spending time with her young nephew and family over board games.
