Chas Murray serves as a Systems/Software Engineer at the LTI. He primarily supports Carolyn Rose and her students by developing online educational platforms, maintaining software tools, and managing the underlying hardware—including multimodal technology components.
Chas spent his early years moving between Oklahoma, Texas, the Washington D.C. area, and Norfolk, Virginia. He holds a Ph.D. in Intelligent Systems from the University of Pittsburgh. Before joining the LTI, he worked as a waiter and bartender, a programmer at a large bank, and a cognitive scientist at Carnegie Learning.
Outside of work, Chas enjoys cycling, running, hiking, reading, and traveling.
