Karen Sue Kirk serves as an Academic Program Coordinator for the LTI. She supports key aspects of the all graduate programs, including waitlist management, TA coordination, maintaining the Ph.D. dissertation catalog, and organizing alumni-related events. She also contributes to various annual celebrations and serves as a CMU Safe Ambassador.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and completed Montessori School Management training at the Center for Montessori Teacher Education in New Rochelle, NY. Before joining the LTI, she worked as an office manager and event coordinator in advertising, an executive assistant in environmental remediation, and a Montessori educator for pre-K through sixth grade.
Outside of work, Karen lives by the mantra: “Make it count!”
